Wonderful friends!

Kevin and I are blessed with such wonderful friends! Yesterday at dinner, they calle dus up and asked if we would let them take the kids overnight! They have a boy who is in Michael's class and a girl who is Victoria's age and they get along superbly! So, off they went. Unfortunately I had already agreed to babysit my nephew Chase while his parents went to game nigth with their biblestufy. Oh well. We had a blast anyways! Chase is a bit jealous - probably stemming from having a brand new baby in his house - and would come over and move Kevin's hand off my knee, back, ahdn etc, and stare Kevin down. It was hilarious! He is such a happy kid and I love to spend time with him!
After he went home Kevin and I went out to play pool for a bit and then to Applebee's for a late night snack. It was hard to get up this morning!

Our anniversary is on Thursday and our wonderful friends have offered to take the kids again overnight! They are truly wonderful! This time I am NOT babysitting anyone and we can go eatr dinner or something somewhere nice:)
I am just hoping we can give back and take their kids soon. Unfortunately not for over a week as we're going out of town. We will make it up to them though!

Here's to Friends! Cheers!

Hope you all are as blessed as we are!

Nieces and Nephews!

I am so excited! A week from today I will get to see one Niece and one Nephew from Norway again as well as a Niece and Nephew from OK and their new brother too! I truly adore my nieces and nephews and can't wait to see them all again and to meet David for the first time. Unfortunately my other two nephews in Norway will have to wait for another time along with my two nephews here in town. At least I can see Chase and Evan whenever I want to!
We'll get to spend a whole week together at my in-laws' house. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll spend a lot of time outside in the sun, swimming and eating tons of good food:)

Later in the summer I will see some of the kiddos again and hopefully we'll get a camping trip in. I am sure Michael and Victoria will absolutely love seeing everyone again too!

I haven't blogged in a while due to being "deathly"ill with a cold and a fever that just wouldn't go away. My fever is now gone but I still feel tired. I am sure it will take a few days to get my strength back.
Today, as my energy was creeping back I cleaned our bedroom, kitchen and living room. The bathroom I tackled a few days back when I thought I was past being ill.
The coming week I will have to work on our basement that is still in shambles after we got water in. Hopefully I can get it presentable by the time we leave. If not, I think I will have an extra week before anyone will be staying there:)

Anyways, my post for the past week! I took pics, did nothing fun other than sleep (more of a need than fun at that point) and made my husband care for me. And he did a wonderful job too!
Take care all!

Homecoming!

My dear husband is finally coming home tonight! He has spent days in Iowa for work and we've missed him soo much! This weekend is Father's Day here in the US, so the kids have been working diligently on a surprise for him:) I will post pics on Monday.

On a little more sad note, we've lost our Tivo Remote! Yikes! It was here earlier today, but now it is gone....we do have a spare one (our original one before we lost that one for a few months) but it just is not as good! Oh well.....not supposed to be watching a whole lot of TV when the weather is nice anyways. Right?

Have a wonderful day and weekend you all, and I will be back with pics another day!

Home alone and T-Ball

So, Kevin had to go on a work trip today until Friday night, so I am home alone with the kids. Now, I have not problem watching the kids by myself, and actually get upset with parents who complain about having to take care of their own kids (they are a blessing despite the hard work!), but truth be told, I am terrified of Thunder and Lightning! And what do I do when I can't have Kevin to calm me down? Not sure about that yet. Might end up calling him or messaging him in the middle of the night if the storms get to be bad! Anyways, keep your fingers crossed that we do not get any thunder, and I will sleep soundly:)

T-Ball started for the kids today at their school. Both Michael and Victoria are on the same team so I could cheer them both on. I was secretly hoping they would call it off due to the rain (but then the rain let up for almost the entire game!). It was fun though!
Here are some pics from the game tonight. They are on the Green team.

New Nephew - UPDATED with pictures

I woke up this morning to a call announcing that baby Evan James was born at 2 something this morning two weeks before his due date! He weighed in at 9lbs and was 21 inches, so we are VERY happy he came now instead of later!
We'll go see him later today and hopefully get some pictures to share!
Have a wonderful day! I certainly will:)
