3rd time posting today!

Oki, so I have a lot of time on my hands today:)
My sister-in-law and brother-in-law just took off for the hospital to find out if her water broke. So, in the next day or so I might have another nephew! If not, he'll be here soon anyways as he is due the 14th of June.
Please keep them in your prayers and thoughts as her last labor with my darling nephew Chase was long and hard on her.
I will be back when I know more:)

Kids Triathlon!

Michael is part of the Kids Triathlon today starting at Willow Creek school ending at Mayo High School.
He is so excited, and I did not sleep at all last night as I am so nervous for him!!
He has to swim 50 yards, bike 2.1 miles and run 1/4 mile.
Cross your fingers for him!
I will be back later with pics of him in action!

UPDATE:

Michael did awesome! We were not allowed into the pool (parents) as the area is fairly small, so he was on his own there and we were anxiously awaiting him outside. Didn't get a ton of pictures as he passed us so fast, but my mother in law got some I think, so I will have her share with me!
Here is what we got:

Michael running from the pool to the first transition point. Kevin cheering him on.

Michael changing into his gear at the first point before getting ready to bike 2.1 miles to the high school.

Waiting in line to meet Jarod Shoemaker (who will be in Bejing representing the US in Triathlon). This was after crossing the finish line.

Michael with Jarod - Jarod is signing his Wheaties Cereal box for the kids to were part of the race!

Overall and awesome experience! I am so proud of Michel for doing it and for finishing! I know I would have problems keeping up even with this short route! In a few years, maybe we can work out together, go on runs, bike ride and maybe even swim:) Last week Michael ran in the Med City Kids Marathon which entails him running 25 miles in 1/2 mile increments and then the day of the race he has to run the last 1.2 miles to the finish line. I will post some pictures from that another day.

Have a wonderful weekend! I have to go back to cleaning my basement (we got water in our basement last night and the night before.Could have been prevented the 2nd night if the people staying in our basement would have let us know right away it was a bit wet after the rain Thursday night, but they didn't think it was a big deal.......yikes!

Update with pictures and card fronts

So, the warm weather set in and I abandoned my blog! Sorry to all of you who were awaiting pictures of my cards!
I will attempt to add some here, as well as some pics from 17 mai.

This is me, Michael and Victoria dressed in our Norwegian Bunads (kept them on for about 10 minutes before changing back into our normal clothes). Unfortunately Victoria had outgrown her old Bunad and had to wear the Hardanger Bunad my Farmor (Paternal Grandma) won for her. It is a bit too big still, but we were able to make it look decent anyways! I am so excited that my girl has such a special outfit to remember her oldermor (great grandma) by.
This is an older picture of my grandma, me and the kids. Not the best, but certainly one I will treasure for a long time!

On to the pictures of cards. I know my mom and Lilli have been anxiously awaiting them:) So this is for the two of you:)

Many of these ideas I have gotten from others or learned to make at card classes. I usually sit down and make many of one sort when I am at it, and find a design that I like.
Hope you enjoy!

Gotta to pick Kevin up for lunch so this will have to do for now!
Have wonderful weekend if I do not make it back in time to write more!

Getting back there

So, I just realized I have not blogged in a while....sorry!
The weather got better and we spent a lot of time outside, but then as soon as we got used to that, rain and cold weather came back! I have been told that as of Friday Spring is here for good, with a hint of summer, so we'll see!

Tonight is the kids' awards night at church for the Awana program, and Victoria is beyond herself excited about singing on stage! I am just so glad that we got our camcorder fixed and can tape them! That will be something to show the grandparents:)

This weekend is Mother's Day and Kevin has already let me know he needs to take the kids one day to so "something":) I wonder what:) Victoria made a gift at school and brought it home today and she kind of wants me to open it early, so we'll see how long I can hold off.

Today, after work and school, Victoria and I planed out flowers in the flowerpots - red, white and blue. I am glad I actually found some bluish colored flowers this year as last year I did not. So, the window boxes are ready for syttende mai!

Anyways, so much to be done on my day off, so this will have to suffice. Hopefully I can get some pics of the kids to upload from this evening!
Have a wonderful Spring day!
