Sunday

And I thought that as soon as football season was over I would get my hubby back.....my was I wrong! As soon as football ends, basketball starts! At least it is only March Madness for a few weeks though. It really does make me miss "My"sports from Norway though! I wish they showed those on TV.
The good thing is that I get to go running all by myself. Too bad I forgot to bring my iPod. Oh well, I will make do.
Michael is currently copying music onto his Grandma's laptop so that we can put them on her MP3 player. Unfortunately, they are Christian slow songs and not anything upbeat to get the blood flowing.

Tonight we're going to Golden Corral for dinner. Cross your fingers I don't overeat! I have eaten too much food each time we go out lately, and it really is not fun at all!

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend! I am so excited about not having to work tomorrow!

Crafty days

Oki, so some days I feel more crafty than others - usually if there is a mountain of cleaning to do or something else less enticing - and here are some of my results. I love scrap booking and card making and currently I am actually working on knitting a scarf! We'll see if that ever gets done:)

Victoria enjoying the summer fruit at Grandma's.

Victoria with cousin Daniel and Grandpa playing in the snow.

I guess what is currently keeping on the computer is my pile of laundry that needs to be ready and cleaned tomorrow afternoon as we're heading out of town then. I have already cleaned out the fridge, mopped the floor and cleaned all the dishes to not have to deal with the laundry, but I am running out of things to do!

We'll be heading to drop my dad off in a few hours, as soon as Victoria wakes up from her nap i am guessing. Yes, she still naps and No, I am not going to make her stop yet! I treasure the time when my house is completely still and I have time to clean (or more likely nap or read a book) al by myself! :)

Tonight I am teaching through community education again and though it makes for a long day I really enjoy it. Then next week we'll be off and I can spend time doing nothing before going at it again:)

Anyways, enough for now:) Have a wonderful day!

The Flu has arrived at our house:(

Thursday after school Michael came home and looked like crap. He went straight to bed and fell asleep. When I got home from work (my dad was here watching the kids) he was burning iup with a fever and coughing up a storm, so Friday morning, which happened to be a snow day, I took him in and he was officially diagnosed with the Influenza B strain. He got Tamiflu and it worked wonders, but he still has a low grade fever so I have kept him home.

Easter we ended up spending in town as Michael was sick and my fil was in the hospital recuperating after having 2 stents put in his heart after a heart attack earlier in the week. He is doing ok now thank God! We'll be heading up there on Friday for Spring break - the entire spring break - so that will be fun.
Hopefully, while there, Kevin and I will get to head up to Canada for a couple of day as I have never been there. We're planning on watching a show, sightsee and then head back to the kiddos.
Above is the Easter pic of my kiddos, the lights f my life!

Yesterday we ran out for a quick errand for my brother and my dad bought a Nikon D60 SLR for him, and I am so jealous! I so want a good camera, so I am in penny pinching mode:)
I also found someone who would be willing to run a 4 person relay at the Med City Marathon with me, although I doubt we'll get it going. Maybe at a marathon at the end of the summer.
I am hoping to start in at least 5 different 5Ks throughout the summer, so we'll see:)

Anyways, short update, but an update non the less. Other than that, nothing new. My dad will be leaving for Norway again on Thursday while I am at class. I will miss him dearly and hope it won't be too long before I see him and the rest of the family again.

See ya!

This is just plain funny!

Check out this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTij4txO8Uk

I laughed so hard my tummy still hurts! At least this means I have signs of muscles in my stomach:)
Not such a great thing to be doing after overeating at Olive Garden though.

We went out to eat with my dad who flew in from Norway on Thursday. It is great to have him around, and getting to talk to him face to face!
The kids got their normal trip to Toys R Us with him and hit the jackpot. Michael settled on an acoustic guitar and accessories while Victoria got an art Center that is hooked up to the computer. So now I listen to him plunk on the guitar while she is hogging my laptop!

Anyways, I should get back to my Youtube watching:) Has made an otherwise rough week so much better!

Oh My!

Wow, I managed a whole post before I got sidetracked and lost sight of this! Here's to trying again.

I was off from work today due to a dental appointment, so I got to head home early. That is, as soon as Victoria got done with pre-school at 11:30. We hit the bathroom hard when we got home, emptying out cupboards and storage and purging tons of things. Now my bathroom is in tip-top shape. Let's see how long it lasts:) I even scrubbed the toilet - like - really scrubbed like never before! Now my back is telling me to take a break so here I am:)
Tomorrow it will only be a week until my Dad comes to visit for two weeks! We're so excited, but also have tons of stuff to get done before that. After Kevin being sick over President's day weekend - my weekend that was full of plans to get the house put back together - and a visit from his parents the next weekend and me wrecking my back the day after they left things just have not been getting done at all! So, despite my less than great back I hope to get things done.
All I have to do it catch up on laundry, clean out the guest bedroom, pick up the family room, make room in my laundry room to actually be able to make it to the washer and dryer! Oh yeah, forgot to tell you, Victoria got the stomach flu so my already behind laundry was pushed further behind as I had to get her clothes, bedding and everything else caught in the line of fire cleaned. Oh well, life of a mom I guess.

Tomorrow night I will be back in class teaching Norwegian, and Friday night is a planned girl's night out, Saturday church and nursery so I am hoping to get a lot done on my day off from work! If anyone feels like cleaning, my house is in dire need of it! You are all welcome!

Well, that will be a good started. Have a wonderful day!
